Happy 7th Anniversary to Me

Back in August 31, 2005 a slimmer me boarded Philippine Airline’s PR501 and landed in Singapore around 6pm on a Wednesday night bringing along my 7kg of excess baggage because of oversized clothes.

In my hotel room at the Changi Hotel I laid down on my bed thinking of my mom, my dad, and my brothers who were left behind in the Philippines.  I opened my laptop wanting to hear some music just to get through the night.  The song “Babalik Ka Rin” was the first that ever played and it’s funny because at the time I’ve only been in Singapore for a few hours.

7 years later I’m still in Singapore and I am one of the millions of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) working our butts off for our family and our country.

Will I ever go back to the Philippines?  Hell yeah!  In time I will.  My heart is back home in Quezon City.

Out of Circulation

It’s been over a month since my last post.  I got off track there.  The result is my weight loss slowed down.  I need to get back on track but fortunately for me I didn’t totally stop.  Over the past couple of weeks I have not been able to find time to do my running but I’ve continued moving – JUST MOVING AROUND.

One such activity is combining my interest in photography with exercise so I’ve been doing some photowalking in during weekends.

Plus I haven’t really let myself loose in the kitchen either.  So those are going good for me.

I need to get this week done then next week I’ll be back on the road burning some fat.

Here are the pictures from my most recent photowalk at the Singapore Botanic Gardens.  Unfortunately I wasn’t able to maximise my trip there so I believe that place deserves another go around.
