I’ve been thinking for the past few days of changing back to RunKeeper for keeping track of my runs. I know in a previous post I mentioned that the Adidas miCoach has all these great features and Derrick Rose is your coach but after using it for a couple of days I’ve gotten to the notion that it is limiting me a bit.
How did miCoach limit me? Well the training plan I chose often limited the trainings to 15 minutes or max 30 minutes. That’s fine actually but after the training is over I know I can do more. I mean I’m not yet tired and I know my body can still handle a few kilometers.
So starting tomorrow I’m going back to RunKeeper and run at my own pace, at my own time, and at my own decision – if I don’t perform well it’s gonna be on me, not the app.
By the way, I’m on my third week of working out. So far I’ve lost 3 kg or roughly around 6 lbs. I hope I can squeeze in a few more lbs before I reach my one month of training.
Too bad my work schedule is getting busier and busier by the minute. I’m now thinking of changing my workout schedules from evenings to early morning. That way I would also have the discipline of resting and waking up early. One thing I haven’t started to change is my sleeping habits. I still go to bed very late. I need to change this but that’s hard to do if you have symptoms of insomnia.
Anyway, bottom-line – NO EXCUSES!!! I need to push through with this no matter what because I know my life will depend on it.
On another note, if by chance you drop by YouTube I would suggest that you guys check out this channel. Wong Fu Productions is one of my favorite channels in YouTube.
They are currently working on a series called “Away We Happened” which is basically a series about two strangers – a boy and a girl – who accidentally swapped bags. The new thing they are introducing here is the audience get to decide what happens on the next episode. It’s cool…it’s like those old books I used to read when I was younger called “Choose Your Own Adventure”.
Anyway, here’s episode 1 of the series.
As far as I know this series will run just a couple of episodes – maybe six. When you go to Wong Fu’s channel make sure to check out their other shorts.
